Plum-Glazed Chipolatas in a Basket
Leave sausages in links, place in a skillet with water to just cover. Bring slowly to a simmer then remove from heat, cover and stand until sausages are firm. Drain well, separate sausages and refrigerate in a sealed container until needed. (May be done the night before.)
At the Barbecue:
Heat grill bars or grill plate using direct heat to medium high. Pour the marinade into a small skillet and place on the grill to heat. Remove to the side when heated.
Place a sheet of baking paper over grill bars or plate and arrange sausages in rows. Working left to right, cook sausages, brushing with marinade and turning frequently until cooked and well glazed
Transfer sausages to a heated bread bowl. Place on a platter with extra marinade served separately. Provide cocktail picks for serving.
