ABOUT THIS WATCH
Museum quality, late 19th century, champleve enamel, hunter case pocket watch in the style of Falize. The impeccable enamel work, in Etruscan Revival colors, depicts winged serpents surrounded with a whip-lashing foliate motif. The flawless, white enamel watch face is punctuated with Roman Numeral chapters, and a sunk subsidiary second dial. Even the bow is intricately engraved and enameled! Quite simply, this watch is perhaps the finest example of its craft we have seen.
